Lamb or Dragon | Francis: Pope or Anti-Pope

Pope or Anti-pope?
In 1054 there was a schism in the Christian church that has become known as the East - West Schism. this is when the church divided between east and west. the western church is better known as the Roman Catholic Church and its branches. And the eastern church is the Orthodox Church and it's branches. since that time the Roman Church and the Eastern Church have stayed mostly intact.

Uniting Religions | Prophet of Peace? or The Man of Sin?

The pope had a meeting today with the former president of Israel, Shimone Peres. Mr. Peres wanted to promote his idea for a "UN for religions" to Pope Francis whom he described as "the only world figure respected enough to bring an end to the wars raging in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world".

How To Respond If Pope Francis Is the False Prophet - Part 3

III. How Catholics Should Respond to the Possibility that Pope Francis might be the False Prophet
Catholics believe that by the will and teaching of Christ, the Magisterium of the Church is protected with the charism of infallibility such that by the power of Holy Spirit the Pope cannot ever err in his official teaching on matters of faith and morals. The true Church will never err in faith and morals. As Catholics, we know this is true. So let no one tamper or interfere with the Word of God.

What to Expect from the False Prophet According to the Prophecies - Part 2

Here are seven “signs” of the False Prophet to watch out for:
1. Parades (False) Humility with Masterful Deception: Evil is pride masked as humility while masquerading. Every “humble” thing he does will be intentionally broadcast through the media, and he will claim to just be a normal humble person while his campaigns will show him to be a shameless exhibitionist. This propaganda will be exploited to raise his own popularity and seeming egalitarianism. Instead of defending the Faith, he will seek to impress the world’s Catholics by his actions and teachings. His performance of humility will not only be used to denigrate Benedict XVI and the rest of his predecessors, but to portray Benedict XVI as some uncharitable hardline traditionalist. If this occurs in the current pontificate, then we will start to see two sides dividing: Francis Catholics vs. Benedict Catholics.

12 Prophecies That Indicate Trouble Ahead for Papacy - Part 1

By Dr. Kelly Bowring, Author of the bestsellers “The Secrets, Chastisement, and Triumph” and “The Signs of the Times”

I think Pope Francis is the Pope who fulfills the apocalyptic prophecy during the period relating to the last Pope of the Malachy prophecy. There simply is no more room for another Pope according to this prophecy before the final events unfold. A year ago, after examining the credible heavenly prophecies of our times and their relation to the election of the new Pope, I wrote an article explaining that it was “plausible” (seems reasonable, but not yet certain) that the prophecies might be true concerning their declaration that Pope Francis is the False Prophet.

Pope Francis may be the False Prophet of Revelation according to Prophecy, says Catholic Theologian

Catholic theologian, Dr. Kelly Bowring, discusses how Pope Francis is fulfilling the famous St. Malachy prophecy of the final Pope and how certain prophecy indicates he may be the False Prophet.

Atlanta, GA, 3/14/14.

Pope Francis celebrates the first year anniversary (March 13) of his papal election this week. Looking back over his first year over the 1.2 Billion Catholics, some of Pope Francis’ actions and statements have raised serious concerns in the hearts of many faithful Catholics. Catholic theologian, Dr. Kelly Bowring, recently wrote a blog article asking his readers to look at the disconcerting actions and statements of Pope Francis [http://twoheartspress.com/blog/how-to-respond-if-pope-francis-is-the-false-prophet-2/] and the “Francis effect” in the light of twelve Catholic prophecies about the False Prophet, who is mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

Dr. Bowring has spent years studying the end times and is the author of several books on biblical and Catholic prophecy, including his bestseller, “The Secrets, Chastisement, and Triumph”, and his newly released, “The Signs of the Times”, both with Two Hearts Press.

In his blog article, Bowring also describes what to expect from the False Prophet according to the prophecies. He then provides seven suggestions on how Catholics should respond to the possibility and growing concern that Pope Francis might be the False Prophet.

Bowring concludes that the Catholic Church may be on the verge of a schism caused by papal apostasy, where there will be two camps, possibly divided into Francis Catholics and Benedict Catholics. Even in Francis’ first year as Pope, various possible changes to doctrine have been discussed around the Vatican:

- change to grant Communion to Catholic couples who are divorced and civilly     remarried
- change to grant Communion to non-Catholics
- change to grant Church blessings to gay unions

If the current Pope were to support changing any Church doctrine, as exemplified by these three possibilities, that would be a clear “sign” he is the False Prophet, according to Bowring. Where will all this lead no one knows. Moving forward, Dr. Bowring recommends that Catholics remain obedient to Pope Francis, while becoming more vigilant to new issues that may arise from his actions and statements. Whether Francis is the False Prophet, time will tell.

Orthodox Patriarch foresees reunion of Christian East and West

Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople has told reporters that he sees a possibility for reunion between the Orthodox and Roman churches, even if it “will probably not happen during my life.”

The Ecumenical Patriarch, who made history by traveling to Rome for the inaugural Mass of Pope Francis, said that he was surprised to receive an invitation from the new Pontiff to join in a dinner with cardinals.
Speaking in Turkey after his return, the Orthodox leader said that he saw a new attitude at the Vatican, which heightened his optimism about the prospects for restoring Christian unity. He said that “there is a possibility for the next generations to see the churches of the East and West.”

While he was at the Vatican, Patriarch Bartholomew invited Pope Francis to join him in a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, to commemorate the historic meeting there 50 years ago between Pope Paul VI and Patriarch Athenagoras.  http://www.catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=17432

Pope: Bartholomew I, hope to unite Eastern churches and Rome

Even if not immediately. Francis can reform Vatican

The Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I who attended last week the mass inaugurating the pontificate of Pope Francis, believes the reunification of the Orthodox and Rome Churches 1,000 years after the Great Schism of 1054 is possible, the Turkish press reports.

Speaking at a meeting at the university of Kadir Has in Istanbul, Hurriyet reports, Bartholomew I said he believed 'there is a possibility for the next generations to see the churches of the East and West reunited'. 'This will probably not happen during my life', he added. Bartholomew I, 73, has been since 1991 the spiritual leader of the Greek Orthodox church, and last week became the first patriarch of Constantinople to be present at the inauguration of a new pontificate since 1054.

Speaking about the new pontiff, Hurriyet reported Bartholomew I as saying that he 'seems very different' from his predecessors and that he 'has the ability' to reform the Vatican.

The patriarch, according to Hurriyet, said he was 'surprised' to be invited by the pope on the night of his arrival in Rome to a dinner with the cardinals which Francis asked him to bless. After the meal, which lasted two hours and a half, the talk was not only on bringing the Eastern and Western Churches closer but also the environment, an issue dear to the patriarch, and poverty, one of Francis' priorities.

The patriarch confirmed that he invited the new pope to visit Fener, the Greek Orthodox patriarchate, in Istanbul.

Francis and Bartholomew, according to Hurriyet, will meet in Jerusalem on January 4-6, 2014, during the Orthodox Christam, 50 years after the historic meeting between Paul VI and Patriarch Athenagoras.

Unprecedented ecumenical gesture: Patriarch of Constantinople will attend Pope's inauguration

Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople has announced that he plans to attend the inaugural Mass of Pope Frances on March 19.
The appearance by the Ecumenical Patriarch--the "first among equals" of all the world's Orthodox leaders--is an unprecedented gesture. The Patriarch of Constantinople has not attended a papal installation since 1054, when Constantinople split from Rome.
