The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem,
Israel.
It stands over where God's Temple lay
in times past, over the Holy of Holies - the holiest piece of real
estate for over 1,000 years - until Jesus came. It also stands over
the Foundation Stoner, the same spot where God created Adam from the
dust of the earth, according to ancient Jewish tradition.
So basically it's very Holy and
historical and prophetically important to Jews and Christians alike.
Neither Jerusalem nor this place is mentioned in the Quran once, yet
Muslims revere it (Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible at least 800
times)
What am I getting at? I find it
intriguing the spirit of Islam, and that of Allah, abide over the
spot that stood so vitally important to God, and Israel, in times
past. Over what was, the holiest spot - where God's presence abode
over the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies and where the sins
of the nation of Israel were covered on Yom Kippur, the Day of
Atonement - where man, in the High Priest, and God, had that bond and
reunion of presence reestablished. Where the Passover Lambs were
slaughtered, which pointed to Christ's crucifixion... And where
Christ's Calvary faced directly across from, over the Kidron Valley.
So get this:
Jesus began his ministry in the Autumn
of 26/27 A.D. (a sabbatical year). 666 years later, in 692 A.D. this
Islamic Shrine to a false God was erected. Interesting number there.
(Do the math). Muhammed also died in 632 A. D.... 600 years after
Christ. (again, a multiple of 6)
But what really gets me is the
inscriptions chosen to be placed on this shrine over this Holy
spot.... Of all the Quranic scripture that could have been chosen,
several statements denigrating the Sonhood of Jesus were chosen.
"According to Prof. Shlomo Dov Goitein, the inscriptions decorating the interior clearly display a spirit of polemic against Christianity, while stressing at the same time the Qur’anic doctrine that Jesus Christ was a true prophet. The formula la sharika lahu ‘God has no companion’ is repeated FIVE TIMES, the verses from sura Maryam 16:34-37, which strongly DENY Jesus’ SONSHIP to God, are quoted together with the remarkable prayer: Allahumma salli (with ya; read salli without ya) ala rasulika wa’abdika ‘Isa bin Maryam – “In the name of the One God (Allah) Pray for your Prophet and Servant Jesus son of Mary”.
Why is this Denial of Sonhood significant???
(1st John 2:22) - "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father."
Thinking John had a revelation here....

(S) In the name of Allah, the Merciful
the Compassionate. There is no god but God. He is One. He has no
associate. Unto Him belongeth sovereignity and unto Him belongeth
praise. He quickeneth and He giveth death; and He has Power over all
things. Muhammad is the servant of God and His Messenger.
(SE) Lo! God and His angels shower
blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and
salute him with a worthy salutation. The blessing of God be on him
and peace be on him, and may God have mercy. O People of the Book! Do
not exaggerate in your religion
(E) nor utter aught concerning God save
the truth. The Messiah, Jesus Son of Mary, was only a messenger of
God, and His Word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him.
So believe in God and His messengers, And say not 'three’ –
cease! (it is)
(NE) better for you! – God is only
one God. Far be it removed from His transcendent majesty that He
should have a Son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is
in the earth. And God is sufficient as Defender. The Messiah will
never scorn to be a
( N ) servant unto God, nor will the
favoured angels. Whoso scorneth His service and is proud, all such
will He assemble unto Him. Oh God, bless Your Messenger and Your
servant Jesus
(NW) son of Mary. Peace be on him the
day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he shall be raised
alive! Such was Jesus, son of Mary, (this is) a statement of the
truth concerning which they doubt. It befitteth not (the Majesty of)
God that He should take unto Himself a Son. Glory be to Him!
(W) When He decreeth a thing, He saith
unto it only: Be! and it is. Lo! God is my Lord and your Lord. So
serve Him. That is the right path. God (Himself) is witness that
there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too
are witness). Maintaining His creation in justice, there is no God
save Him,
(SW) the Almighty, the Wise. Lo!
religion with God (is) Islam. Those who (formerly) received the Book
differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression
among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of God (will
find that) lo! God is swift at reckoning!

Praise be to
