The Death of Ariel Sharon

Ariel Sharon suffered a stroke on January 4, 2006 and went into a coma. Just a few days later on January 28, 2006, one of the most prominent Rabbis in Israel, Yitzhak Kaduri died. At the time these two events appeared to be completely unrelated. All of this would change when one year after the death of the rabbi when it was revealed that he had written a note revealing the name of the Messiah. The name revealed was the Hebrew name Yehoshua, known in English as Jesus. This Messiah, he had written would appear after the death of Ariel Sharon. Today, January 11, 2014, Ariel Sharon died.

Israel Today published the story of the rabbi's note in April 2007.  According to the article the note says:
Concerning the letter abbreviation of the Messiah’s name, He will lift the people and prove that his word and law are valid.

This I have signed in the month of mercy,
Yitzhak Kaduri
The first letters of the phrase "He will lift the people and prove that his word and law are valid" in Hebrew form the name Yehoshua.

Anticipation

Most western Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25. Christmas brings to a close the season of Advent. Advent is the celebration of the anticipation of coming of God's promised Messiah. The Jews were in anticipation of the coming of Messiah. But when the great event occurred, they missed it. The shepherds had to be told by an angel. And Herod was told by the magi. When the king of the Jews, Herod Archelaus, was banished to Vienna around the year 6 or 7, he was replaced by a Roman procurator. At this time the Sanhedrin lost its power to ajudicate capital cases. We see this was still true during Jesus' trial because they had to get the Romans to pass the sentence of death on Jesus.  When the Sanhedrin lost this authority, they went into mourning because they thought that the word of God's prophecy (Genesis 49:10) had been broken. The scepter (ability to administer the death penalty) had passed from Judah (from whose line came the king of Israel) and Shiloh (the Messiah) had not yet come. But He had come. They missed the time of their visitation.
