Boston Bombing Brothers Linked to Sleeper Cell

Is it reasonable to believe that two brothers, a 26 year old and a 19 year old, conceived and carried out a plot to blow up two bombs during the Boston Marathon with no other help?  The older brother, Tamerlan, was a married father of a little girl.  The younger brother, Dzhokar, was the captain of his high school wrestling team.  He is described by one of his teachers as outgoing, generous, compassionate and thoughtful.  But these are the two young men who are suspected of having carried out what is becoming one of the most heinous crimes since the 9/11 World Trade Center tragedy.  Now  Mirror Online is saying that the FBI is investigating whether the brothers were part of a twelve member terrorist sleeper cell.

The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.

Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.

More than 1,000 FBI operatives were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.

A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.

“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

A specialist team of CIA and FBI interrogators was yesterday flown to a Boston hospital to grill wounded Dzhokhar, 19, about the secret group. The University of Massachusetts student was caught on Friday after hiding out in a boat parked in a garden in locked down Watertown the day after a gun battle with police left his 26-year-old brother and a rookie cop dead.

Terrorist Bombing Strikes the Boston Marathon on Patriots Day

Today at 2:50 pm two bombs went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.  At the time of this writing, 2 people have been killed and 70+ have been injured.  Another bomb has gone off at the JFK library and two other unexploded bombs have been found.  

The police have a person of interest in the hospital suffering from burns.  

Interestingly, today is Israel independence day.  Israel celebrates independence on 5 Iyar.  When the bombs in Boston went off it was 10:00 pm on 5 Iyar which started at sundown in Israel.  Coincidence?

At least two people are dead and 73 injured – including up to 10 with amputated limbs – after two bombs tore through the finish line of the Boston Marathon, according to the Boston Police Department.

Authorities were guarding a person of interest at a local hospital, according to a New York Post report confirmed by Fox News. The person, who sources said was 20 years old, had severe burns, but authorities had not determined whether the person was a victim or a perpetrator. Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis said during a press conference that no suspect is in custody.

The simultaneous explosions just before 3 p.m. and reports of two other unexploded devices found near the scene raised suspicions of a terrorist attack. Intelligence officials told The Associated Press two unexploded devices were being dismantled. Competitors and race organizers were crying as they fled the bloody chaos, while some witnesses reported seeing victims with lost limbs.

"Somebody's leg flew by my head," a spectator, who gave his name as John Ross, told the Boston Herald. “I gave my belt to stop the blood.”

The first two explosions occurred at 2:50 p.m. – nearly five hours after the marathon began – about 50 to 100 yards apart, according to Davis. A third explosion occurred near the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in the Columbia Point section of Dorchester, several miles southeast of the marathon's finish line, at around 4:15 p.m. Police could not say if it was related to the earlier explosions.
