Abu Dhabi |
There was another building called the world trade center in the world. At 382 meters, the World Trade Center Abu Dhabi was the tallest tower in a city of tall towers. But now, the WTC Abu Dhabi will be called the 'Burj Mohammad Bin Rashid' after the Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid
Al Maktoum.
There was a tower on a plain in Shinar several thousand years ago. It was built as a testimony to mankind's arrogance. God confused the languages and stopped the building of that tower. But that did not put an end to man's arrogance. Nor did it end the building of towers "whose top will reach into heaven" as a testimony to that arrogance.
“But you said in your heart,
‘I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne above the stars
of God,
And I will sit on the mount of assembly
In the recesses of the north.
‘I will ascend above the heights of
the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’
“Nevertheless you will be thrust down
to Sheol,
To the recesses of the pit.
Isaiah 14:13-15
