October 9, 2014 was the First Day of
the Lord's Feast of Tabernacles. It's a 7 day long Feast. (Leviticus
23) We are also in what's known as the "Sabbath (or Sabbatical)
Year". Also called the Sh'mitah Year. It is the 7th and final
year in a cycle of seven. (Leviticus 25) It continues from September
of this year (2014) until September of next year (2015).
Jonathan Cahn, author of The Harbinger,
has detailed a striking series of economic rises and falls in
sabbatical years. For those nations who, at their foundation, were
patterned according to the Lord's word, ways, and principles (ancient
Israel, and America) God would bless the nation in this particular
year, a year of rest and releasing of debts. The land was commanded
to lay dormant, no harvesting or reaping, and dependence on God's
divine faithfulness to supply our needs was emphasized (and He always
came through when Israel was obedient). Debts were also released, and
it was a general year of entering into rest and joy (as patterned by
the 7th day of the week, known as the Sabbath, when no man was to
work, but instead was to abide in God's presence and word)
When the nation started to veer off
course and away from God, removing Him from their culture, daily
lifestyle, laws, principles, and ways, the sabbatical year, a
year of blessing, became a curse instead. for both ancient Israel,
and it appears, for modern day America. For at the end of the
Sabbath, when blessing was to arrive judgment came instead for their
wickedness.
It's been noted, since 1962 when God
was snubbed from our schools, since the sexual counter-culture
revolution of drugs of the 60's, and in particular since 1973 (Roe vs
Wade), and the authorized execution of millions of innocents became
legal according to the highest Court in our land, that our nation has been
in an increasing moral decline from the Judaeo-Christian values this
nation was founded upon. Since '73 (which was also
a sabbatical year), there has been a curious economic crash or
otherwise time of hardship just about every seven years, and always
generally in the Fall time around September or October.
Jonathan Cahn pieces together how we have
been enduring the cursing of the sabbatical cycle in particular ever
since we turned away from God in our laws, and our culture. For
example;
9-17-01 was six days after 9-11. 2001
was a sabbatical year.
On 9-17-01, the first day the markets
reopened after the terrorist attack (a sabbatical year judgment), the
stock market saw it's largest point drop ever up to that point (678
points), and the market lost a value of 7%.
On the Hebrew calendar, 9-17-01 was the
final day of the Sabbatical year, it was the eve of Rosh HaShanah,
The Jewish New Year. It was the one day of the calendar year the
debts were to be released at the conclusion of the 7th year. Instead,
we saw a massive drop of 7% of the market's value at the end of the 7th year.
9-29-08, again, this was on the Hebrew
calendar the last day of the Sabbatical year for that year. A new
cycle of seven years had commenced since 2001, and it ended precisely
on 9-29-08, the eve of Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year.
And on 9-29-08, on the final day of the
7th year, the market dropped by the largest point drop in its
history, 777 points, wiping away, again, 7% of the market value.
Interesting numeric there for the final
day of the 7th year.
Furthermore, on each successive feast
day after the great economic crash of 9-29-08, the market crashed
majorly.
God was trying to get our attention.
Ten days later, on 10-09-08, on the
Lord's Feast day of Yom Kippur (the day of Atonement), the market
again fell through the floor, by a margin of 679 points.
Days later, on 10-15-08, on the Lord's
Feast day of Tabernacles, the market again fell, by a large
margin of 733 points.
Again, on 10-22-08, on the final
day of Tabernacles, a mini-holiday known as Shemini Atzeret (the
assembly of the eighth day) and Simchat Torah (rejoicing in the
Torah), the markets fell by 514 points.
The markets fell consecutively and
successively on each one of the Lord's Feast days after the market
bottomed 777 points, 7%, at the conclusion of the 7th year on
9-29-08.
While judgments typically seem to
arrive towards the end of sabbatical years (next September, for
example, if the pattern remains true)
I found it extremely noteworthy that
yesterday October 9, 2014, the first day of Tabernacles, the market
crashed 335 points.
It was remarked it was the largest
point drop of the entire year of 2014,
And the largest market crash since
June, 2013,
The largest drop in sixteen months!
On Tabernacles.
In the sabbatical year.
Which concludes next September.
Selah.
