Ingenico and Carvajal Tecnologia y Servicios have announced a partnership for the deployment of Igenico’s biometric solution in Colombia and the Dominican Republic.
Specifically, Ingenico’s iWB 220 biometric payment devices will be used as a part of a government project to bring financial support to low-income families.
According to the company, the iWB 220 is based on fingerprint biometrics and complies with FBI image quality specifications. In addition to a fingerprint scanner, the iWB 220 also includes an embedded magstripe and chip & PIN reader.
