Before Governors and Kings

The stenographer for the U. S. House of Representatives caused a stir when she stood before the house on Wednesday night and said;
He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked – don’t touch me – he will not be mocked. The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was…the Constitution would not have been written by the Freemasons. They go against God.”
She was taken by the capital police for a mental evaluation.

According to Politico, She claims to have been compelled by the Holy Spirit to do what she did.
“For the past 2 and 1/2 weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber,” stenographer Dianne Foster Reidy told Fox News’s Chad Pergram in a written statement. “That is what I did last night.” http://www.politico.com/story/2013/10/house-stenographer-holy-spirit-moved-me-98486.html
Is it reasonable to believe that Dianne Reidy was moved by the Holy Spirit to do what she did?  Let's look at some of the facts.  "God is not mocked" is a phrase that comes from Paul's letter to the Galatians.  The complete sentence Of Galatians 6:7 says "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap."  This verse basically means that God will punish or reward us in a manner befitting the kind of life that we lead.  If you do evil, then evil will follow you.  If you do good then goodness will follow you.  And the punishment or reward will always be in sync with the manner that you live your life.

The government of the United States has almost always been in debt. That is, they have been spending money that they do not have. In this latest "debt crisis", the $16.7 trillion debt limit was about to be surpassed. After arguing for weeks about raising the debt limit, Congress finally decided to just suspend the debt limit all together when they could not come to a consensus.  For his trouble the Senate minority whip, Mitch McConnell receive a $2.9 billion earmark for a dam project in Kentucky.  The open dishonesty in the U. S. Congress is disgusting.

The United States has historically been a breeding ground for God's church.  Not bound by a state religion and the associated dogmas, the church in the U. S. has been free to follow the Bible.  Great preachers, missionaries, and other contenders for the faith have grown out of the United States.  But lately, America has become known for exporting thinly veiled pornography and violence in movies, music and video games.  American women have a "right" to murder their unborn child.  This act, which only forty years ago was illegal in the U. S. is now being exported as a universal right.

Recently we have seen the U. S. sponsor assassinations, including assassinations of American citizens.  The NSA secretly monitors all international and domestic communications.  The police are becoming more and more militarized through grants and equipment from the DHS while other more citizen friendly programs are cut or eliminated due to lack of funding.  The government under Barack Obama has taken on a distinctly anti-Christian tone.  The military and DHS are becoming openly hostile to Chrisitianity in general and Christians who take the Bible as literal truth in particular.

So, back to the original question.  Is it reasonable to believe that Dianne Reidy was moved by the Holy Spirit to do what she did?  Billy Graham's wife Ruth said in 1965 "Billy, if God doesn't come soon and bring judgment upon the United States, He's going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!" Since then the sin has continued to mount.  Throughout history, nations and countries have risen and fallen.  The prophet Daniel said in the 21st verse of the second chapter that God changes times and seasons, he removes kings and sets up kings.  God is not mocked is a reminder that sin will be punished.  So yes, I believe that it is reasonable to believe that Dianne Reidy was lead by the Holy Spirit.  Her message was timely and true.  It was delivered to the people that need to hear it most and has received international attention.  In Amos 3:7 God said "For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets." America has been warned.
